Your role as a Plasma Diagnostics Scientist
As a plasma diagnostics scientist, you will play a key role in the development and analysis of our plasma diagnostics systems. You will help to coordinate a diverse, cross-functional team of mechanical and electrical/electronics engineers, software developers, physicists and data analysts. You will participate as a subject matter expert during experimental campaigns and advise on the direction of diagnostics development for future campaigns. As a person you are a team player, self-driven, service-minded and hands-on. You should enjoy a dynamic work environment within a fast-growing organization entering the global arena.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
We believe you will be a good fit if you have a background with some of the following:
Core experience:
- Experience developing diagnostic methods to study plasmas
- Or hands-on experience with other experimental physics instrumentation
- Leadership experience in coordinating experiment campaigns or diagnostics development
Additional valuable experience:
- A PhD in plasma physics, experimental physics, or related field with a track record of scientific publications
- Background in signal processing, calibration procedures, and data analysis
- Control systems integration and data acquisition system development
- Experience with fusion or high-temperature plasma research
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative experimental environments
